The Hero Inside: Comics & Mental Health Opening Reception

The Hero Inside: Comics & Mental Health exhibit goal is to bring public awareness to the stigma of mental illness through art. Comics can tell the stories that inspire us to be victorious in our everyday trials through the marriage of visual art and story. The Hero Inside is intended to remind us that heroism comes from within. Cirrus House, Inc. focuses on providing quality of life & independence for people living with mental illness in the Nebraska Panhandle through opportunities for advocacy, housing, employment, education & a peer supported community where members can find belonging & purpose. The Hero Inside: Comics and Mental Health opens in our Bronson Gallery, Thursday, September 29, 2022, with a reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This exhibit is generously sponsored by the Cirrus House and Snow Redfern Foundation, Inc. This exhibition is on display until October 30th. Visit the gallery Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. We are closed Mondays. Gallery admission is FREE and open to the public.
