Governor Jim Pillen will cross the state this week for a pair of town halls focused on sharing information and taking questions about the state’s property tax crisis.
The first town hall is scheduled Friday at 2:00 p.m. (CT) in Fremont. Then on Saturday, Gov. Pillen will host a gathering in Scottsbluff at.2:00 p.m. (MT). The Cattlemen’s Ball will be happening in nearby Minatare that day. Members of the public are invited to attend.
“Nebraskans across the state have made clear that they expect state leaders to solve the property tax crisis,” said Gov. Pillen. “While we are counting on the Legislature to develop the right solution, all Nebraskans must be part of this conversation. The Legislature failed to pass any property tax relief in the regular session, but we will finish the job in a special session.”
