Midwest Theater presents "Downton Abbey"

“Downton Abbey” Sunday Matinee event: Join the Historic Midwest Theater for an afternoon of refinement Sun, Oct 27 @ 1:30pm. Patrons that dress in “Downton Abbey” style apparel will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing for official “Downton Abbey” merchandise.  There will be tea and scone refreshments for sale. Scones will be on sale all weekend.  A posh photo area with refined decor provided by Tossed and Found will be available for elegant photo opportunities. 
 
The Marquee Fund Raiser Raffle: There will be a raffle for a special “Downton Abbey” basket! Tickets are $5 or 3 for $10. All proceeds will go the Historic Midwest Theater Marquee project.  Tickets may be purchased in the Midwest Theater office Mon-Fri 9-4 or at the concession counter during the “Downton Abbey” movie weekend (Oct 25-27).  Drawing will be held Wednesday, Oct 30^th 2019. 
 
Movie Synopsis: Excitement is high at Downton Abbey when the Crawley family learns that King George V and Queen Mary are coming to visit. But trouble soon arises when Mrs. Patmore, Daisy and the rest of the servants learn that the king and queen travel with their own chefs and attendants -- setting the stage for an impromptu scheme and other shenanigans.
