Illuminating the Path to Healing Thursday, September 3, 2026 | 5:00 – 8:00 PM Gering Civic Center Join CAPstone Child Advocacy Center and CASA of Scotts Bluff County for an inspiring evening dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and advocacy to children and families impacted by abuse and neglect in our community. Our 2026 theme, “Illuminating the Path to Healing,” reflects the journey children take from trauma toward hope. Together, we can help shine a light on the path toward safety, healing, and a brighter future. Whether you’ve attended Light of Hope in the past or are joining us for the first time, we invite you to be part of this meaningful evening of connection, inspiration, and impact. Your Evening at a Glance 5:00 PM – Doors Open Arrive, grab a drink from the cash bar, participate in the wine pull and enjoy time to mingle and connect with fellow guests. 6:00 PM – Dinner Served Enjoy a delicious catered dinner featuring hand-carved crown roast, potato medley, garden salad, and dinner roll. 6:30 PM – Hear the Impact Learn more about the work of CAPstone Child Advocacy Center and CASA of Scotts Bluff County and hear about the difference we are making for children and families in our community. 7:00 PM – Featured Keynote Speaker: Kevin McNeil Hear an inspiring message from nationally recognized victim advocate, retired Special Victims Unit detective, author, and founder of the Twe12ve Project. Kevin’s powerful story of resilience, hope, and healing beautifully reflects this year’s theme. Following the Keynote – An Opportunity to Give We will close the evening with an opportunity to support the continued work of CAPstone and CASA as we help children and families find safety, healing, and hope. Why Attend? Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. Your ticket helps offset the costs of hosting this special evening, including dinner and our keynote speaker. This allows additional donations made during the event to directly support the programs and services provided by CAPstone Child Advocacy Center and CASA of Scotts Bluff County.
