DESCRIPTION:Science on Screen  event brings filmmaker\, statewide range and ranching experts\, and reindeer to Midwest Theater\n\n \n\nOn Thurs.\, Nov. 9\, at 7 p.m.\, the Midwest Theater presents the Science on Screen  event "The Cowboy Life: From the Arctic Circle to the High Plains."\n\n \n\nPrior to the event\, starting at 6:15 p.m.\, live reindeer will greet visitors to the theater.\n\n \n\nUNL Professor of Agronomy Walter Schacht will talk about his current research in the Nebraska Sandhills and cool-season grass pasture. The film "Aatsinki: The Story of Arctic Cowboys" will screen\, followed by a panel discussion featuring Schacht\, filmmaker Jessica Oreck\, Sandhills rancher Tom Sanders\, Chadron State College Emeritus rangeland scientist Jim O'Rourke\, and reindeer rancher Phillip Licking for a panel discussion about the film and livestock herding practices for cattle and reindeer.\n\n \n\nWHAT: FREE* Science on Screen film-and-discussion\n\nWHEN: Thurs.
