Sommerfeld Exhibition DESCRIPTION:The West Nebraska Arts Center\, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council\, and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment\, is pleased to present Elemental Discoveries by Doug Hoevet & G.E. Sommerfeld. It will be presented Thursday\, September 2nd. Come to the reception and have an opportunity to meet the artists. Doug Hoevet is from Scottsbluff\, NE and G.E. Sommerfeld is from Loveland\, CO. We are thrilled to present Elemental Discoveries by Doug Hoevet and G.E. Sommerfeld. These artists take nature and transform it into artwork. They are inspired by ancient ruins as well as basic design and its connection to humanity. This exhibition will be made up of stone\, wood and/or metal sculptures. It will bend the understanding of a tree stump and perhaps carve questions out of stone. The artists have worked hard to provide a different perspective that we believe will be enjoyed by all. The reception is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m on September 2nd. Hors d'oeuvres\, refreshments and wine will be served.
