The West Nebraska Arts Center, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, is pleased to present The Legacy of Nebraska – Todd Williams Art Exhibit in our Bronson Gallery, Todd Williams art exhibit is comprised of 26 of the 93 oil paintings of Nebraska counties. Nebraska celebrates and commemorates its 150th year of statehood in 2017. The Legacy of Nebraska project by Todd A. Williams is an official Legacy project of the Nebraska Sesquicentennial. The Legacy of Nebraska exhibition is a monumental exhibition heralding the nostalgia and history of Nebraska with 123 paintings, at least one for each of the state’s 93 counties. Internationally recognized Nebraska native, artist Todd Williams’ mission for the past 5 years has been to depict significant historic, geographic, and figurative elements from founding-era Nebraska. He has worked with historians, sponsors, and leaders in each county to help him determine significant subjects. These paintings have inspired thousands Nebraska residents and reached well beyond the state’s borders with a traveling exhibition, a commemorative collectors’ art book, and a documentary film produced by NET, Nebraska’s public television affiliate. Only 43 of the originals are still available for sale. Giclée prints are also available in select sizes and edition numbers. For more information about paintings and prints, contact Todd directly at Todd@toddwilliamsfineart.com. Visit ne150.org for the exhibition tour schedule.
