Police & Pooches Potluck Picnic

This will be an event to mark the 100 Year Anniversary of the Gering Police Department's K-9 program. 1925 -2025. Hopefully, one or more of our K-9 dogs will be able to show up briefly with their handlers. We will explain what our K-9 Officers and their handlers do to keep us safe. We will also talk about ways to support and keep our K-9 programs strong. After a fundraising drive this summer, we will thank all our donors and have a raffle to give out the gift cards and gift certificates contributed from the various local businesses. We also have a 100 dollar bill prize to mark Gering's 100 Year Anniversary. People can bring their dishes and lunches. We will also have , Jose Gonzalez with MixMaster Productions to MC the event. No dogs will be allowed to come, other than one K-9 dog at a time. (K-9 Dogs cannot be around other dogs. )This is our first "K-9 Dog Days Of Summer" event. It is my hope, that we can have a K-9 Dog Days of Summer event at the end of Summer every year after our annual fundraising drives.
