Soroptimist International of Scottsbluff County, in partnership with Platte Valley Companies, KNEB, Star-Herald and Gering Citizen, present the return of Grammy-nominated Blinddog Smokin', live at Five Rocks Amphitheater.
The concert is a fundraiser for the Soroptimist grant program that funds local organizations that improve the lives of women and children in the Panhandle. Last year, area Soroptimist members gave $12,000 in grant monies to local service organizations.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. for food and spirits provided by Steel Grill. Mac's Gourmet BBQ will also provide food, and non-alcoholic beverages. A pre-show has been added this year, with Blinddog Smokin' front man and storyteller Carl Gustafson and guest performing at 6:30 p.m. The Blinddogs will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate, available for purchase at Platte Valley Companies (Circle Drive and Gering locations), KNEB Radio, Star-Herald, ABC Nursery, Gering Citizen, and from individual Soroptimist members.
